Yapper 🗣️

When silence never stood a chance.
What it means
Someone who talks excessively, often about nothing in particular, non-stop chatter, rambling, or over-explaining things nobody asked about. Being called a “yapper” means you just don’t know when to stop talking. “Yap” has long meant idle chatter, but “yapper” exploded through TikTok around 2023-2024, especially through the “yapper” personality trend, videos mocking people (often affectionately) who dominate conversations or ramble in voice notes.

Vibe check

It’s usually said affectionately, teasing someone (or yourself) for talking a lot, but it can turn a little judgmental if the person genuinely never lets anyone else speak.
